Julie MacGregor first attended a Ringing Hills Chorus evening class at
Owen J. Roberts to learn what barbershop was all about! Since then, Julie’s flexible and talented abilities are duly noted as the fantastic range in her voice has enabled her to sing bass, baritone, and lead at various times through the years. In true team spirit, she sang wherever her voice was needed most.

In July of 2021, Julie accepted the call to direct the Ringing Hills Chorus. Her leadership, energy, knowledge, and talent brings excitement and the desire to perform with musical excellence, to the chorus.

Julie was a member of the quartet Sound Logic for many years where we enjoyed her rich baritone voice. She was also a member of our Music Leadership Team and served on the Board of Directors and most recently as our Assistant Director.

Outside the realm of music, Julie has taught grades from kindergarten through senior high school. She recently retired from teaching high school students for Pennsylvania Cyber School. Holding two Masters degrees, she is certified in Elementary Education, Secondary English and Special Education.

Julie has volunteered for 19 years raising and training service dogs for people with physical disabilities.

We are blessed to have Julie share her many musical talents with our chorus and are grateful she is our Director.
